Dance Nights with The Classics Do you remember the old dance venues? The spots where the Edmonton area teens went every weekend?
“The Classics” do because the boys in this band played them in the sixties. “The Classics” is an eight-piece band made up of charter members of The A & W Lords (later Privilege), The Nomads, Hub Cigar Store, The Ookpiks, The Sons of Adam, The Original Cast and The Tommy Banks Orchestra to name but a few. That translates to the majority of them making music in this town for close to fifty years.
Back by popular demand the Classics will perform at the Sawmill Banquet and Catering Centre located at 3840 - 76 avenue. Doors open at 7:00pm with the Classic's starting at 8:00pm. This event offers a slightly different format than our traditional Dinner and Dance function with two options at two different prices. Option #1($20) Providing a light snack basket at each table and a small Lounge style menu for a la cart menu items should you bring your appetite. Option #2($50) Includes the above plus the Table d’Hôte menu below available at Tom Goodchild's Moose Factory or the Sawmill on Gateway Blvd before the show.
